What is a sweatshirt?

The sweatshirt origins from the world of sports. Soon to be followed by the invention of the hoodie. They were both invented for athletes and workers as a pullover made for demanding activities. The long-sleeved garments made of cotton were versatile and has ever since then had a given place in every man's wardrobe.

What types of sweatshirts are there?

The basics of the sweatshirt usually remain the same. A collarless pullover often made from cotton and suitable for an active everyday lifestyle. The original also have a slightly warmer inner fleece lining, but we were missing variations of the classic garment. That is why we decided to create both sweatshirts and hoodies in a faux suede fabric, adding an exclusive touch to the products. But we are also offering perfectly comfortable sweatshirts in 100% cotton with a more relaxed fit. 

 

Many names

There are many names for these classic garments. As mentioned earlier, the sweatshirt was invented for sports and workers. The name literally means a shirt to sweat in. Since then it has been called sweater, pullover, college sweater and jumper. But sweatshirt and hoodie are what we like to call them.

How to wear a sweatshirt

The sweatshirt has for a long time been a favorite to combine under a coat or jacket. But it is also perfect to wear for more relaxed occasions.
