Ciszere dresses Borås’ biggest celebrity: The world’s largest shirt has arrived

Ciszere dresses Borås’ biggest celebrity

Fashion brand Ciszere, rooted in the Swedish textile city of Borås, has taken its promise to “dress everyone” to a whole new level. Through a unique craftsmanship project, the brand has now outfitted the city’s nine meter tall Pinocchio statue with what is believed to be the world’s largest bespoke shirt.

After 400 intensive hours of tailoring and using 150 rolls of cotton fabric, it is now official: Borås’ most famous wooden boy is also its best dressed resident. The project was born from the idea that even monumental figures deserve a wardrobe that can withstand both time and the Swedish west coast weather.

“We’ve always said we dress everyone, regardless of size or background. But we realized Pinocchio has been a bit underdressed through rain and shine. The white shirt gives him exactly the presence and honesty he deserves,” says Andreas Nyberg, Vice CEO of Ciszere.

Tailoring on a gigantic scale

Dressing a nine meter tall bronze statue in a white shirt is not just a PR stunt, but a technical achievement. The shirt is constructed from a specially developed cotton fabric designed to withstand the demands of outdoor exposure.

Quick facts about the shirt:

  • Size: XXXXXXXXXXL
  • Material: Extra durable cotton, developed to withstand Borås rain and a growing nose
  • Work time: Over 400 tailoring hours
  • Style tip: Works just as well with shorts as with long legs
