In the heart of Sweden, among the whispering pines and shimmering lakes, a saga unfolds—a tale spun over centuries. It's a story of innovation, of craftsmen shearing their scissors to perfection, and of an determined pursuit of excellence. This is the legacy of Ciszere. A story that begins in the quaint town of Borås, where the soul of Scandinavian fashion took its first breath.
This is ground zero, laying the foundation for all Scandinavian textile and fashion. Therefore, the city and it’s history form the roots of what would later become globally recognized as “Scandinavian design”.

To understand the significance of Ciszere, we must journey back to the 16th century. To a time where a simple word carried a meaning far beyond its literal definition: Ciszere. This early term for the wool shears wasn't just a tool for our ancestors; it was a symbol of their craftsmanship.
Ciszere is built upon this history. We aim to construct a brand on the very foundation where it all began, where the celebrated Scandinavian style originated, and to embody the very essence of our city's vibrant textile history into the future.
The scissor therefore symbolizes the shift from our textile heritage to a new textile imminent.

At the heart of our town, where the waters of Viskan River meet vast fields, a story has been woven through the centuries. It's here, where the pulse of Swedish textile industry has thrived since the 19th century, that Ciszere finds its origins.
We are drinking the water, breathing the air, walking on the streets and working in their historical buildings. We are Scandinavian design.

The founders
Textile craftsmanship in our hands
At Ciszere, crafting clothes is more than just a profession—it’s a legacy. Founded by Johan Forsberg and Andreas Nyberg in 2016, the brand is rooted in a family steeped in the textile trade. Andreas’ grandfather, Bruno, was a master cutter, and for generations, their families has dedicated itself to the textile industry.
Ciszere was launched to honor this heritage, blending the skills passed down through the generations with modern design to shape the future of Scandinavian menswear.
